About Blossom Beauty Collective
Hi, I'm Sammi.
I started in beauty in 2022, straight out of a lash course, while I was still working as a barista. I trained in a spare room at my parents' house with nothing but a lash bed, a lamp and a lot of determination, no commercial salon, no big team, no perfect setup.
How It Started
Before beauty, I'd spent time studying psychology and working as a barista, pulling coffees during the day and studying whenever I could fit it in. None of that felt like quite the right fit long-term, but I didn't know what would.
Then I did a lash course, and something clicked. I started taking clients out of that spare room at my parents' house, building my bookings up slowly around my other job. I left before I was fully booked out, before I felt "ready" in any conventional sense, because I'd learned that readiness isn't something that arrives before you start. It's something you build by starting.
I've been doing this full-time ever since, and Blossom Beauty Collective grew out of wanting to hand that same path to other women who are exactly where I was, unsure if they're 'the type' of person who can do this, wondering if they need a perfect setup before they begin. You don't.
Why I Created Blossom
I created Blossom Beauty Collective because I don't think you should need a commercial salon, a business degree, or years of experience to start building a beauty career on your own terms. I built mine from a spare room, and I want to teach other women how to do the same, around their existing job, their existing space, their existing life.
This isn't about promising overnight income or an instantly full book of clients. It's about giving you a real, practical skill and the confidence to actually use it.
How I Teach
I don't just teach the how, I teach the why behind every technique, because understanding the reasoning is what turns a set of steps into a skill you actually own. Whether you're training online or one-on-one with me on the Gold Coast, every course is built to be beginner-friendly, hands-on where possible, and genuinely supportive. I want you to feel like you can ask me anything, at any stage.
What I Believe
You don't need a fancy salon to get started
Start with the space, time and resources you already have.
Confidence comes from doing, not waiting
You rarely feel completely ready before you take the first step, that's normal, not a red flag.
Ongoing education matters
I'm always investing in learning in beauty, in marketing, in business and I bring that mindset into how I teach.
